Catalyst can be a volatile substance and must be stored in specially designed silos. The more silos a base contains, the more catalyst it can hold.[1]
The silo also allows the research of economy tech upgrades.

[[Armored casing upgrade]] Harvesters gain additional armour. |

[[Defensive utility upgrade]] Small hubs gain armor and will now slowly repair themselves and the structures attached to them every second. |
